It was an overcast day, somewhat rainy, day in April. It was the day I had waited for for months...the day I was going to see MLP Live! After packing my purse, and throwing my camera into the car, I headed off to pick up my friend Elizabeth. We drove all the way to Grand Prairie, joking and laughing and listening to pony songs on CD. It took a couple of tries to park. Being a horrible driver, I missed the entrance to the Nokia theatre, so we had to drive ALL the way around, and pull into the entrance. We finally parked, and walked into the theatre. We just about pissed our pants when we walked in....to our right was a huge display of pony merchandise! I walked up to the stand, in awe of all things pony. Some little brats cut in front of us, but it didn't matter. We finally got to the front, and bought the merchandise. I bought a soccer ball, Pinkie Pie plush, Tea Set, and program. Elizabeth got a Sew-n-So plush, program, soccer ball, and I believe a couple of other things. We sat down, and discussed how our plushies looked depressed .
After some REEEEALLY expensive nachos, and a trip to the restroom, we headed to our seats. Elizabeth got to sit right up front, and I was to the side, a few rows back. The lights went dark and the show began. When those ponies came out, I was in awe. They were HUGE! We sat there, watching the ponies sing and dance....
During intermission, I thought I saw Elizabeth leave, so I followed "her", but, heh, she ended up following me! We played a little tag there. We went outside for a bit, and tried to figure out how those damn costumes worked! A random lady even got into the discussion. After talking about how freaking awesome the show was, we headed back to our seats for the 2nd act. I sat there trying not to dance along as the ponies sang "Disco Dash."
About as soon as the show started, it was over. I was so happy to have seen those ponies in person. Elizabeth and I met up in the lobby, and headed back to the car, our hands full of merchandise and our ears still ringing of the sweet sounds of ponies..."It's the world's biggest tea partyyyyy!"
