mlparena.com/Forums/viewtopic/t=126030.htmlOkay, I'm not completely evil. It's sad when ANYONE dies. But you KNOW if this was about an elderly person who was left alone in the car and died NOBODY would give a rat's ass about it. Why is it that children are the only ones that matter? We have childrens' hospitals, childrens' charities, kids this, kids that. I have heard so many stories of the elderly dying in a car or in their house because of the heat and the fact that they're neglected. But do you see an over-2 page thread about it?

Oh, I know! Watch the news, and you see so many supposedly heart-wrenching stories about sproggen, when if it were an adult, no one would give a Tinker's Damn Elizabeth

That's what I don't get about rescue operations and war. 'Women and children first!' 'Everyone was slaughtered- even women and children!' Cry me a river. Why... Am I more important then my man? And WHY... Is a child more important to save then us? To me, all people are equal. Therefore, it's absolutely ignorant to claim the importance of saving people has anything to do with age or sex. Why is the loss of 100 women and children more grieved upon than 100 men? Sorry but this whole 'women and children are defenseless' thing gets on my nerves. Like men are going to fight off an effing bomb that's being dropped above their heads. In relation to th MLParena thread I just like to say I support the idea that the general public thinks the death of children is more horrific then the death of adults. And I'm against it, for the reasons I mentioned earlier. And elderly people are SUPPOSED to die, so naturally nobody is going to devote a thread about them. Jeez, how rude of you to imply such a thing! *chuckles* Modified because it's late and my brain is leaking out.
